The “energy subsystem” comprises the electrification system, including overhead lines and the trackside electricity consumption measuring and charging system.

Outside the scope of Italian and European legislation, Italcertifer carries out conformity assessments for the infrastructure subsystem such as Independent Safety Assessor, Independent Competent Person (ICP), Independent Checking Engineer e Safety Verification Engineer.
Irrespective of the scope of application, assessment activities are carried out applying the same methodologies and the same degree of professionalism, independence and impartiality for the purpose of making sound and objective technical judgments.
